December Outing: Jill Johnston! David Velasco! P Club!
As some of you know, I have a thing for Jill Johnston.
So, it seems, does the marvelous David Velasco.
This Sunday at the New Museum, we’ll be waxing poetic on some/certain/all things Jill, at “Talking about my generation”: Jill Johnston and the Critic as Subject, a conversation with Critical Correspondence coeditors (and PClub contributors) Aaron Mattocks and Marissa Perel.
Following our discussion there will be performed readings of live art reviews by the Movement Research artists Lauren Grace Bakst, Thom Donovan, Ariel Goldberg, Cassie Petersen and (another PClubber) Christine Shan Shan Hou.
The event starts at 5 and costs $8. Hope to see you there… (and please note there won’t be a post-discussion discussion … all festivities will take place at the NuMu)
