The Inaugural Outing

Here it is, folks. Come be new & improved with me on Saturday, October 15:

WHAT: “The Rehearsal”
WHO: The Spanish choreographer Cuqui Jerez (& us!)
WHEN: 8 p.m.
WHERE: The Performing Garage, 33 Wooster Street

Tickets cost $25—unless you are on the PClub mailing list, in which case you will get a discount code for $18 tickets, kindly provided by the good folks at P.S. 122, who are presenting “The Rehearsal” with the Garage and the Crossing the Line festival. If you aren’t on the list, drop us an email or comment below and we’ll put you in the loop. The code will work through the 8th, but this isn’t a big theater, so get your tickets now.

But wait, there’s more …

…at 4 p.m. that same day, come to the garage for this:

A Long Table on Performing the Real
Is it true or did we just make it up?
The Long Table is an experimental public forum originally developed by performance artist Lois Weaver. The Long Table experiments with participation and public engagement by re-appropriating a dinner table atmosphere as a public forum, and encouraging informal conversations on serious topics. It is literally a very long table set up with chairs and refreshments where anyone and everyone is welcome to come to the table, ask questions, make statements, leave comments, or simply sit, listen and watch.

It’s free. (You just have to reserve here) And it’s perfect for us, no? For once we’ll do our talking first…

Questions? Comments? Let’s hear ‘em.
